Where Should You Store Your Will or Trust Documents?

When it comes to your Will or Trust, you should ensure that these important documents are stored in a secure and accessible place.   A few common options include a safety deposit box or fireproof safe in your home.  Just be sure to let your executor or trusted family members know of the location and how to access it.

Another great option is to store your Will with the Clerk of Court at the courthouse in your county.  Iowa law requires the clerk to maintain a file for safekeeping of wills, and this is service is provided at no cost.
