Under Iowa law, if the original Will cannot be located, even though you may have a copy, the law includes a presumption that the decedent intentionally destroyed the Will for the purpose of revoking it. 

Generally, under Iowa law an individual must bring a lawsuit within two years of their accident or personal injury or the claim is forever barred. 

In Iowa, if you die without a valid will, the distribution of your property and assets will be based on Iowa law, regardless of what you may have desired.
